5 Minutes Of...August

August 31, 2017  •  3 Comments

I have teamed up with some amazing artists to continue our monthly blog circle for 2017.  We're taking 5 minutes in our month to photograph one thing/place/activity and share what we can capture in just those 5 minutes.  For August I chose to do 5 minutes of...you guessed it.  The great solar eclipse of 2017.  We live right in the line of totality.  So my parents had a party down on their dock and we had the best seat in the house for this once in a lifetime event.  As luck would have it, we had total cloud cover during totality.  But, we had a great time and we were all together.  I didn't have the right equipment to capture the eclipse itself, so I was more focused on the story happening around me.  These are the images that I captured right around (and during) totality.  Even if we weren't able to see the whole thing, it was still a great experience.

Up next is the always incredible Melissa Hines.  Be sure to follow the circle around.  You won't want to miss this.
